R.A.T.E.S is an acronym for five essential areas of development which are Response-ability, Account- ability, Technical-ability, Evaluation-ability and Sustain-ability. Each of these five categories represent standard operational practices that are essential for results oriented, nonprofit, Human Service delivery. Students learn strategies for planning and developing effective non profit Human Service delivery and sustainability. This course is the second in the 5 part series and covers Account-ability.Accountability is the responsibility of a nonprofit organization to be transparent and transparent in its finances, operations, and decision-making. Accountability is important for nonprofits because it helps to ensure that they are using their resources effectively and efficiently, and that they are meeting the needs of their constituents.
