English | March 15, 2023 | ISBN: 3031176065 | 291 pages | MOBI | 24 Mb
This edited volume, with contributions from the Computer Aided Engineering for Batteries (CAEBAT) program, provides firsthand insights into nuances of implementing battery models in actual geometries. It discusses practical examples and gaps in our understanding, while reviewing in depth the theoretical background and algorithms. Over the last ten years, several world-class academics, automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), battery cell manufacturers and software developers worked together under an effort initiated by the U.S. Department of Energy to develop mature, validated modeling tools to simulate design, performance, safety and life of automotive batteries. Until recently, battery modeling was a niche focus area with a relatively small number of experts. This book opens up the research topic for a broader audience from industry and academia alike. It is a valuable resource for anyone who works on battery engineering but has limited hands-on experience with coding.

Geometric functions in computer aided geometric design

Free Download Geometric functions in computer aided geometric design by Oscar Ruiz, Carlos Cadavid
English | June 24, 2020 | ISBN: 9587200160 | 150 pages | MOBI | 4.90 Mb
It is usual that existing material on computer aided geometric design oscillates between over-simplification for programmers and practitioners and over formalism for scientific or academic readers. The first type of publications suppresses the taxonomy and properties of the mathematical concepts discussed when seeking straightforward notation and procedures. The second type of materials in thorough in the mathematical concepts at the expense of increasingly complicated notation and sacrifice of clear procedures for the reader. This book intends to be a compromise between the aforementioned extremes. It recalls basic concepts on functions, relations, transformations, matrices and groups and makes evident their impact in the engineering properties of projections, rotations, translations, perspectives, and so on. The material is of interest for computer scientists and electrical, mechanical, production, mathematical and physics engineers. In particular, it gives valuable insight into robotics, computer vision, design, manufacturing, kinematics and dynamics from a practical point of view while keeping contact whit the underlying decisive mathematical properties of the objects and transformations handled. The exercises and examples discussed in this book were stated, solved, documented and illustrated under the supervision of professors Oscar Ruiz and Carlos Cadavid during the years 2004 to 2007. Scenarios for such a work were the courses introduction to CAD CAM Systems and Geometric Modeling and the activities in the CAD CAM CAE laboratory at EAFIT University. This book intends to be a compromise between the aforementioned extremes. A Computer-Aided Design and Synthesis Environment for Analog Integrated Circuits

Free Download A Computer-Aided Design and Synthesis Environment for Analog Integrated Circuits by Geert Plas , Georges Gielen , Willy Sansen
English | PDF | 2002 | 230 Pages | ISBN : 0792376978 | 17.2 MB
In the first part the AMGIE analog synthesis system is described. AMGIE is the first analog synthesis system that automates the full design process from specifications down to verified layout. It is targeted to the design of moderate-complexity circuits. It relies on design and circuit knowledge stored in the tool’s libraries and can be used by both novice and experienced analog designers as well as system-level designers. The inner workings are explained in detail, with (practical) examples to demonstrate how the implemented algorithms and techniques work. Experimental results obtained with the AMGIE system are reported, including actual fabricated and measured circuits.
