Cold Region Atmospheric and Hydrologic Studies. The Mackenzie GEWEX Experience Volume 2 Hydrologic Processes

Free Download Cold Region Atmospheric and Hydrologic Studies. The Mackenzie GEWEX Experience: Volume 2: Hydrologic Processes By Ming-ko Woo (auth.), Ming-ko Woo (eds.)
2008 | 508 Pages | ISBN: 3540749276 | PDF | 31 MB
This book presents decade-long advances in atmospheric research in the Mackenzie River Basin in northern Canada, which encompasses environments representative of most cold areas on Earth. Collaborative efforts by a team of about 100 scientists and engineers have yielded knowledge entirely transferable to other high latitude regions in America, Europe and Asia. Emphases are placed on the investigation of processes (including storm genesis, precipitation, moisture and energy fluxes and frost), and the improvement and application of a suite of models and remote sensing to enhance the assessment of climate variability and water resources. This book complements the first volume coming from the GEWEX project, dealing with the region’s atmospheric dynamics. Together these books provide a unique synthesis of atmospheric and hydrological findings and an integrative approach across disciplines in addressing major research issues of cold regions.

FluidShell Design Organic & Atmospheric Bundle KONTAKT

5 products from Fluidshell Design. STIGMATA offers a set of 13+7 instruments in NKI format for Kontakt full version only (minimum v6.7). STIGMATA’s working principle is based on two types of synthesis, resampling and wavetables. To create the samples used in STIGMATA we spent a considerable amount of time researching timbres using instruments with rich sounds. Rather than investing in an insane amount of equipment that we would probably only need once or twice, it seemed obvious to us to call on friends who have the equipment we don’t. This is how we were able to record hours of various sounds from complex modular synthesizers, historical machines, but also acoustic and electroacoustic instruments.

Atmospheric Greenhouse Gases The Hungarian Perspective

Free Download Atmospheric Greenhouse Gases: The Hungarian Perspective By László Haszpra (auth.), László Haszpra (eds.)
2011 | 393 Pages | ISBN: 9048199492 | PDF | 9 MB
Human induced global climate change is the biggest challenge humankind faces today. Increasing amount of atmospheric greenhouse gases play a crucial role in the evolution of the climate. Without the understanding of the contributing processes, feedbacks and interactions we cannot predict the future changes and develop effective mitigation strategies. To decrease the uncertainty of the global studies detailed regional studies are needed surveying the regional characteristics of the atmospheric greenhouse gas budget and the influencing factors. Atmospheric Greenhouse Gases: The Hungarian Perspective covers a coherent subset of the Hungarian climate change oriented research that is directly related to greenhouse gases. Topics discussed in the book range from the monitoring of the concentrations and fluxes of atmospheric greenhouse gases, through the modeling of atmosphere-biosphere interaction and greenhouse gas exchange processes, to the review of the anthropogenic contribution of Hungary to the greenhouse gas budget of the atmosphere. The studies call the attention to the regional properties which may modulate the European scale or global picture on the variation of atmospheric greenhouse gases.

Foundations of Atmospheric Remote Sensing

Free Download Foundations of Atmospheric Remote Sensing by Dmitry Efremenko , Alexander Kokhanovsky
English | EPUB (True) | 2021 | 305 Pages | ISBN : 3030667448 | 30.8 MB
Theoretical foundations of atmospheric remote sensing are electromagnetic theory, radiative transfer and inversion theory. This book provides an overview of these topics in a common context, compile the results of recent research, as well as fill the gaps, where needed. The following aspects are covered: principles of remote sensing, the atmospheric physics, foundations of the radiative transfer theory, electromagnetic absorption, scattering and propagation, review of computational techniques in radiative transfer, retrieval techniques as well as regularization principles of inversion theory. As such, the book provides a valuable resource for those who work with remote sensing data and want to get a broad view of theoretical foundations of atmospheric remote sensing. The book will be also useful for students and researchers working in such diverse fields like inverse problems, atmospheric physics, electromagnetic theory, and radiative transfer.

Atmospheric Re-Entry Vehicle Mechanics

Free Download Atmospheric Re-Entry Vehicle Mechanics by Patrick Gallais
English | PDF | 2007 | 65 Pages | ISBN : 3540736468 | 20.2 MB
Ballistic reentry vehicles, capsules and planetary probes are the fastest human designed objects to fly through planet’s atmospheres. With velocities over Mach 20, RV’s have to dissipate a huge kinetic energy, and environment may exceed 100 g’s at center of mass, 100 bars stagnation pressure and 100 MW/m² on nosetip. Design of thermal protection system is a formidable material engineering problem. Vehicle conception covers large discipline realms, among which Aerodynamics and Flight Mechanics are essential as they only can provide necessary aeroshell shape, mass and inertia properties and tolerances to achieve adequate environment and trajectory performance. Capsules and probes have different missions and entry conditions but approaches and methods are identical. Based on a long engineering experience, this book offers a comprehensive and state of the art analysis of aerodynamic and flight mechanic entry topics. In addition, it provides a large set of application exercises and solutions. It is addressed to university and engineering school students, as well as engineers in aerospace companies and government agencies, or simply curious readers.
