Main-Chain Modification As a Result of Polyolefin Functionalization by Different Techniques

Free Download Rosestela Perera, "Main-Chain Modification As a Result of Polyolefin Functionalization by Different Techniques "
English | ISBN: 1616687819 | 2010 | 65 pages | PDF | 6 MB
When polyolefins are functionalised to modify its chemical structure and polarity, some other secondary reactions take place as well. The grafting of a different monomer onto the main chain of the polymer involves the use of a free radical initiator, such as a peroxide, or irradiation of the sample (gamma rays or ultrasound), that not only provide the free radicals for the grafting but also for main chain modifications. Different reaction processes such as functionalisation in solution, reactive extrusion or irradiation produce different structures. This book deals with modifications of the main chain as a consequence of polyolefin grafting through different techniques, such as functionalisation in solution and reactive extrusion and through polymer irradiation with gamma rays and ultrasound.

Supply Chain Safety Management Security and Robustness in Logistics

Free Download Supply Chain Safety Management: Security and Robustness in Logistics By Sandra Tandler, Michael Essig (auth.), Michael Essig, Michael Hülsmann, Eva-Maria Kern, Stephan Klein-Schmeink (eds.)
2013 | 374 Pages | ISBN: 3642320201 | PDF | 19 MB
Companies face a variety of risks resulting from cost reduction strategies, rationalization measures, global sourcing, and outsourcing activities. Due to the large number of actors involved, extremely close ties emerge, which significantly increase supply chains’ vulnerability to disruptions – this has been shown again and again in the past few years. Against this background, the aspect of supply continuity is of increasing importance for all activities that relate to procurement, logistics, and supply chain management. Its objective is to ensure the continuous operation of supply chains, i.e., the uninterrupted flow of material, information, and coordination from the initial supplier to the end customer. Therefore, it is necessary to adopt adequate measures that take into consideration not only potential losses but also potential gains (so-called speculative risks). With this book, the concept of Supply Chain Safety Management is introduced. The concept itself is embedded in a comprehensive and dynamic management process. Depending on a supply chain’s individual objectives, a set of courses of action is offered for any risk factors – whether they are identifiable and quantifiable or not. The practicability of Supply Chain Safety Management is highlighted by various case studies. The book "Supply Chain Safety Management: Achieving Security and Robustness in Logistics" targets both the areas of science and of practice. First, the state of the art in research is reflected and valuable impulses for new and respectively for further research fields are provided by taking into consideration the points of view of scientists and practitioners in the business environment. Next, theoretically well‐substantiated, modern approaches and tools applicable to the business world are offered, an impetus for new ideas and fields of positioning is given and best practice examples are presented allowing a fruitful exchange of experiences between practitioners.

English | 2024 | ISBN: 9819723582 | 544 Pages | PDF EPUB (True) | 46 MB
This book provides a general overview of the use of optimisation techniques in decision-making concerning inventory problems, supply chain management, production and manufacturing management, problems related to vendor selection, transportation and logistics, and the use of fuzzy or interval techniques (uncertainty) in the aforementioned areas. It offers helpful guidance on how to decide which strategies to apply in different areas of real-world problems, especially highlighting latest advancements in supply chain management, inventory control, environmental planning, and optimisation. All authors have extensive research experience in practical decision-making scenarios which serves as the foundation for contributing chapters. The book thus assists scientists, upcoming researchers, and businesspeople in understanding optimisation techniques for finding the optimal answer to decision-making problems.

Supply Chain Logistics Management

Free Download David Closs, M. Bixby Cooper, "Supply Chain Logistics Management"
English | 2002 | pages: 680 | ISBN: 0072351004 | PDF | 27,1 mb
Supply Chain Logistics Management is exciting and promises to bolster traditional logistics courses and invigorate supply chain management courses, by examining traditional logistics issues within the context of the supply chain. Most textbooks approach this subject from a limited perspective, studying only internal functions of an organization to the exclusion of issues that relate to the entire supply chain. Supply Chain Logistics Management, provides a solid foundation that clearly describes the role of logistics within the supply chain, portraying a complete view of the subject and going farther to show how all the pieces fit together.

Agentensysteme für das Supply Chain Management Grundlagen – Konzepte – Anwendungen

Free Download Agentensysteme für das Supply Chain Management: Grundlagen – Konzepte – Anwendungen By Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Wilhelm Dangelmeier, Ulrich Pape, Michael Rüther (auth.)
2004 | 163 Pages | ISBN: 3824421801 | PDF | 10 MB
