Chaos and Complexity in Nonlinear Electronic Circuits

Free Download Maciej J Ogorzalek, "Chaos and Complexity in Nonlinear Electronic Circuits"
English | ISBN: 9810228732 | | 276 pages | PDF | 14 MB
The basic procedures for designing and analysing electronic systems are based largely on the assumptions of linear behavior of the system. Nonlinearities inherent in all real applications very often cause unexpected and even strange behavior. This book presents an electronic engineer’s perspective on chaos and complex behavior. It starts from basic mathematical notions which enable understanding of the observed phenomena, and guides the reader through the methodology and tools used in the laboratory and numerical experiments to interpretation and explanation of basic mechanisms. On typical circuit examples, it shows how the theoretical and empirical developments can be used in practice. Attention is drawn to applications of chaotic circuits as noise generators and the possible use of synchronized chaotic systems in information transmission and encryption. Chaos control is considered as a new, emerging area where electronic equipment and chaos theory could turn vital in biomedical and engineering issues.

Stochasticity and Quantum Chaos Proceedings of the 3rd Max Born Symposium, Sobótka Castle, September 15-17, 1993

Free Download Stochasticity and Quantum Chaos: Proceedings of the 3rd Max Born Symposium, Sobótka Castle, September 15-17, 1993 By N. L. Balazs (auth.), Zbigniew Haba, Wojciech Cegła, Lech Jakóbczyk (eds.)
1995 | 226 Pages | ISBN: 9401040761 | PDF | 10 MB
These are the proceedings of the Third Max Born Symposium which took place at SobOtka Castle in September 1993. The Symposium is organized annually by the Institute of Theoretical Physics of the University of Wroclaw. Max Born was a student and later on an assistant at the University of Wroclaw (Wroclaw belonged to Germany at this time and was called Breslau). The topic of the Max Born Sympo sium varies each year reflecting the developement of theoretical physics. The subject of this Symposium "Stochasticity and quantum chaos" may well be considered as a continuation of the research interest of Max Born. Recall that Born treats his "Lectures on the mechanics of the atom" (published in 1925) as a nrst volume of a complete monograph (supposedly to be written by another person). His lectures concern the quantum mechanics of integrable systems. The quantum mechanics of non-integrable systems was the subject of the Third Max Born Symposium. It is known that classical non-integrable Hamiltonian systems show a chaotic behaviour. On the other hand quantum systems bounded in space are quasiperi odic. We believe that quantum systems have a reasonable classical limit. It is not clear how to reconcile the seemingly regular behaviour of quantum systems with the possible chaotic properties of their classical counterparts. The quantum proper ties of classically chaotic systems constitute the main subject of these Proceedings. Other topics discussed are: the quantum mechanics of dissipative systems, quantum measurement theory, the role of noise in classical and quantum systems.

From Newton to Chaos Modern Techniques for Understanding and Coping with Chaos in N-Body Dynamical Systems

Free Download From Newton to Chaos: Modern Techniques for Understanding and Coping with Chaos in N-Body Dynamical Systems By V. Szebehely (auth.), Archie E. Roy, Bonnie A. Steves (eds.)
1995 | 584 Pages | ISBN: 1489910875 | PDF | 20 MB
The reader will find in this volume the Proceedings of the NATO Advanced Study Institute held in Cortina d’ Ampezzo, Italy, between July 25 and August 6, 1993, under the title From Newton to Chaos: Modem Techniques for Understanding and Coping With Chaos inN-Body Dynamical Systems. This institute was the latest in a series of meetings held every three years from 1972 to 1990 in dynamical astronomy, theoretical mechanics and celestial mechanics. The proceedings from these institutes have been well-received in the international community of research workers in these disciplines. The present institute was well attended with 15 series of lectures being given by invited speakers: in addition some 40 presentations were made by the other participants. The majority of these contributions are included in these proceedings. The all-pervading influence of chaos in dynamical systems (of even a few variables) has now been universally recognised by researchers, a recognition forced on us by our ability, using powerful computer hardware and software, to tackle dynamical problems that until twenty-five years ago were intractable. Doubtless it was felt by many that these new techniques provided a break-through in celestial mechanics and its related disciplines. And so they were.

Chaos in Attitude Dynamics of Spacecraft

Free Download Chaos in Attitude Dynamics of Spacecraft By Yanzhu Liu, Liqun Chen (auth.)
2013 | 163 Pages | ISBN: 3642300790 | PDF | 3 MB
Attitude dynamics is the theoretical basis of attitude control of spacecrafts in aerospace engineering. With the development of nonlinear dynamics, chaos in spacecraft attitude dynamics has drawn great attention since the 1990’s. The problem of the predictability and controllability of the chaotic attitude motion of a spacecraft has a practical significance in astronautic science. This book aims to summarize basic concepts, main approaches, and recent progress in this area. It focuses on the research work of the author and other Chinese scientists in this field, providing new methods and viewpoints in the investigation of spacecraft attitude motion, as well as new mathematical models, with definite engineering backgrounds, for further analysis.Professor Yanzhu Liu was the Director of the Institute of Engineering Mechanics, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. Dr. Liqun Chen is a Professor at the Department of Mechanics, Shanghai University, China.

Stress is a natural response to the demands and challenges of life, rooted in our biology. When faced with perceived threats, the body activates the fight-or-flight response, releasing hormones like adrenaline and cortisol. This physiological reaction prepares us to confront danger but can become problematic when activated too frequently or for prolonged periods. Understanding this biological mechanism is crucial for adults navigating the complexities of modern work and life. By recognizing the signs of stress, individuals can take proactive steps to manage their responses effectively.
