We need to start considering the quality of the leads seriously and stop assuming as though every lead is a sure guarantee for new clients. We need to shift our focus from merely gathering leads to focusing on customer outcomes. I hate to break it to some of you, but a lead is useless until it turns into a profitable customer. Too many sales teams hold the false belief that clients will arrive if they have enough leads. Yes, summer always follows spring, but I’m afraid leads don’t always turn into customers.
