Implementation and Analysis of Ciphers in Quantum Computing (Computer Architecture and Design Methodologies)

Free Download Implementation and Analysis of Ciphers in Quantum Computing (Computer Architecture and Design Methodologies) by Anubhab Baksi, Kyungbae Jang
English | April 18, 2024 | ISBN: 9819700248 | 165 pages | MOBI | 17 Mb
This book deals with the upcoming threat that may be posed by quantum computers on modern-day security standards, particularly those involving symmetric key ciphers. Considering the progress in the field of quantum computing over the past few years, there is an ever-growing need to analyze the ciphers that are being employed in ensuring security. The symmetric key ciphers are generally considered safe against quantum computers, though one must consider the possible impact due to Grover’s search algorithm (that reduces the security claim to the square root bound of what is expected against a classical computer). This book consolidates all the major research works in one place and presents it with adequate clarity, making the subject matter easy to understand for seasoned researchers and students alike. It covers the prerequisite information, new research works (including some of the state of the art), thought-provoking problems for further research, and all the relevant source codes. This book is interesting to engineers, researchers, and students who work/study in the field of cryptography.

Applied Mathematics and Parallel Computing Festschrift for Klaus Ritter

Free Download Applied Mathematics and Parallel Computing: Festschrift for Klaus Ritter By N. Apostolatos (auth.), Dr. Herbert Fischer, Dr. Bruno Riedmüller, Priv.-Doz. Dr. Stefan Schäffler (eds.)
1996 | 376 Pages | ISBN: 3642997910 | PDF | 8 MB
The authors of this Festschrift prepared these papers to honour and express their friendship to Klaus Ritter on the occasion of his sixtieth birthday. Be cause of Ritter’s many friends and his international reputation among math ematicians, finding contributors was easy. In fact, constraints on the size of the book required us to limit the number of papers. Klaus Ritter has done important work in a variety of areas, especially in var ious applications of linear and nonlinear optimization and also in connection with statistics and parallel computing. For the latter we have to mention Rit ter’s development of transputer workstation hardware. The wide scope of his research is reflected by the breadth of the contributions in this Festschrift. After several years of scientific research in the U.S., Klaus Ritter was ap pointed as full professor at the University of Stuttgart. Since then, his name has become inextricably connected with the regularly scheduled conferences on optimization in Oberwolfach. In 1981 he became full professor of Applied Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics at the Technical University of Mu nich. In addition to his university teaching duties, he has made the activity of applying mathematical methods to problems of industry to be centrally important.
