Albert Einstein is universally regarded as the most brilliant scientist of the 20th century. In 1905, during his "Miracle Year" as a clerk in the Swiss patent office, he wrote four papers that revolutionized the field of theoretical physics. Over the course of his career, Einstein introduced modern science to the concept of space-time, inadvertently launched America on the path towards developing the atomic bomb, and was offered the presidency of Israel. He was the first scientific superstar-a world-wide celebrity whose popularity was matched only by his astounding feats of imagination.

Author: Allen Esterson, David C. Cassidy, Ruth Lewin Sime
Narrator: Elizabeth Wiley

Albert Einstein’s first wife, Mileva Einstein-Maric, was forgotten for decades. When a trove of correspondence between them beginning in their student days was discovered in 1986, her story began to be told. Some of the tellers of the "Mileva Story" made startling claims: that she was a brilliant mathematician who surpassed her husband and that she made uncredited contributions to his most celebrated papers in 1905, including his paper on special relativity. Mileva was one of the few women of her era to pursue higher education in science; she and Einstein were students together at the Zurich Polytechnic.

Walter Isaacson’s Einstein meets Craig Brown’s 99 Glimpses of Princess Margaret, in this innovative biography of the famous physicist told in ninety-nine dazzling vignettes. Most of us would agree that Albert Einstein’s name is synonymous with "genius" and that his likeness is often used as a shorthand for all scientists, appearing everywhere from cartoons to textbooks. He has become more myth than man. That being the case, how best to capture his essence? In Einstein in Time and Space, talented young science journalist Samuel Graydon answers that question with an illuminating mosaic-99 intriguingly different particles that cumulatively reveal Einstein’s contradictory and multitudinous nature.

Einstein’s Pathway to the Special Theory of Relativity Ed 2

Free Download Galina Weinstein, "Einstein’s Pathway to the Special Theory of Relativity Ed 2"
English | ISBN: 1443895121 | 2017 | 630 pages | PDF | 2 MB
This book is a comprehensive monograph on Albert Einsteins Odyssey to Special and General Relativity. This second edition brings together the most recent studies regarding the discovery of Special Relativity between 1895 and 1905 and pertaining to the genesis of General Relativity between 1905 and 1918. The book encompasses an in-depth historiographical analysis of Einsteins theory of relativity and Einsteins own derivations and philosophical perspectives of his work. The first chapter provides a narrative of Einstein’s early life until 1914 without resorting to hagiography. The second chapter discusses Fin de siècle physics; the third deals with Einsteins path to the Special Theory of Relativity and Henri Poincarés Dynamics of the Electron; the fourth focuses on the genesis of the General Theory of Relativity; the fifth chapter centralizes on Einsteins methodology and creativity, and on Poincarés philosophy; and the final section analyses the sources used in compiling this book.

English | 2012 | pages: 146 | ISBN: 161374028X | PDF | 32,9 mb
Best known for his general theory of relativity and the famous equation linking mass and energy, E = mc², Albert Einstein had a lasting impact on the world of science, the extent of which is illuminated-along with his fascinating life and unique personality-in this lively history. In addition to learning all about Einstein’s important contributions to science, from proving the existence and size of atoms and launching the field of quantum mechanics to creating models of the universe that led to the discovery of black holes and the big bang theory, young physicists will participate in activities and thought experiments to bring his theories and ideas to life. Such activities include using dominoes to model a nuclear chain reaction, replicating the expanding universe in a microwave oven, creating blue skies and red sunsets in a soda bottle, and calculating the speed of light using a melted chocolate bar. Suggestions for further study, a time line, and sidebars on the work of other physicists of the day make this an incredibly accessible resource for inquisitive children.

Gravitational Waves How Einstein’s Spacetime Ripples Reveal the Secrets of the Universe

Free Download Gravitational Waves: How Einstein’s Spacetime Ripples Reveal the Secrets of the Universe by Brian Clegg, James Gillies, Dreamscape Media, LLC
English | 2022 | ISBN: N/A | ASIN: B093J486QK | MP3@64 kbps | 4 hours and 52 minutes | 134 Mb
On September 14, 2015, after 50 years of searching, gravitational waves were detected for the first time, and astronomy changed forever. Up until then, investigation of the universe had depended on electromagnetic radiation: visible light, radio, X-rays, and the rest. But gravitational waves – ripples in the fabric of space and time – are unrelenting, passing through barriers that stop light dead. At the two two-and-a-half-mile-long LIGO observatories in the US, scientists developed incredibly sensitive detectors, capable of spotting a movement 100 times smaller than the nucleus of an atom. In 2015, they spotted the ripples produced by two black holes spiraling into each other, setting spacetime quivering. This was the first time black holes had ever been directly detected – and it promises far more for the future of astronomy.
