Enzyme-based Biosensors Recent Advances and Applications in Healthcare

Free Download Enzyme-based Biosensors: Recent Advances and Applications in Healthcare by Sanjukta Patra, Debasree Kundu, Manashjit Gogoi
English | January 23, 2024 | ISBN: 9811569819 | 372 pages | MOBI | 13 Mb
This book summarizes the principles, protocols, and applications of enzyme-based biosensors in healthcare. After providing a brief history and discussing the development of various biosensors used for medical applications, it explores the principles of enzyme-based biosensors and reviews a number of enzyme immobilization techniques. It then addresses the potential of enzyme-based biosensors in the diagnosis of infectious and non-infectious diseases; illustrates the potential of enzyme-based biosensors for non-invasive monitoring of biochemical biomarkers; and assesses the application of paper-based and microfluidic-based nanobiosensors in medical diagnostics. A one-stop resource on recent advances in enzyme-based biosensors in healthcare, this book will appeal to students, researchers and scientists in a range of disciplines, as well as entrepreneurs, and medical/healthcare professionals.

Enzyme Kinetics and Mechanisms

Free Download Enzyme Kinetics and Mechanisms By Kenneth B. Taylor
2002 | 227 Pages | ISBN: 1402007280 | PDF | 7 MB
Enzyme Kinetics and Mechanisms takes the reader through the experimental techniques and the logic by which the mechanisms of enzyme-catalyzed reactions can be elucidated by the results of steady-state kinetics and related experiments. It is meant to make these investigations both satisfying and effective. In distinction to other available descriptions, the descriptions in enzyme Kinetics and Mechanisms are limited to more commonly utilized and useful models and techniques. The logic relating the chemical models to the mathematical models and the logic of relating the mathematical models to data is presented in rather concise text, figures and equations. The development of mathematical models from chemical models is done by a unique algorithm that is both simple and quick, and the same concept are utilized to develop models for the effects of a variety of reaction conditions on the initial velocity. In addition, the various relationships of data, mathematical models and the chemical models is illustrated with examples from the scientific literature.

New Trends in Enzyme Catalysis and Biomimetic Chemical Reactions

Free Download Gertz I. Likhtenshtein, "New Trends in Enzyme Catalysis and Biomimetic Chemical Reactions"
English | 2002 | pages: 238 | ISBN: 1402010060, 1441952349 | PDF | 8,3 mb
New Trends in Enzyme Catalysis and Biomimetic Chemical Reactions embraces modern areas of enzyme catalysis where other books in the field concentrate mainly on kinetic, bioorganic and biochemical aspects of the enzyme catalysis and do not cover biophysical and physicochemical problems. Topics covered include: -modern physical and kinetic methods of investigation, -contemporary theories of elementary chemical processes in enzymes, -structure, dynamics and action mechanism of enzyme active sites, -concept of pretransition state, -theory of long-range electron transfer and proton translocation, -mechanisms of "tough" biochemical reactions (dinitrogen reduction, light energy conversation, water photooxidation, hydroxilation), -the achievements and problems of biomimetic chemical reactions.
