Flow cytometry is a state-of-the-art technology that is widely used in biological research and clinical diagnostics. It is a high-throughput platform that allows the quantification, differentiation, and functional study of cells or cell like particles in suspension. Various cell components can be targeted with fluorescently labelled antibodies or fluorescent dyes to allow measurement and analysis of the physical, chemical, and biological properties of individual cells within homogenous or heterogeneous populations.

1-dimensional Flow Arrays and Bifurcations in Planar Polynomial Systems

Free Download 1-dimensional Flow Arrays and Bifurcations in Planar Polynomial Systems
English | 2024 | ISBN: 9819722039 | 382 Pages | PDF EPUB (True) | 68 MB
This book introduces to 1-dimensional flow arrays and bifurcations in planar polynomial systems. The 1-dimensional source, sink and saddle flows are discussed, as well as the 1-dimensional parabola and inflection flows. The singular source, sink and saddle flows are the appearing and switching bifurcations for simple sink and source flow arrays and for lower-order singular source, sink and saddle flow arrays. The singular parabola and inflection flows are the appearing and switching bifurcations for simple parabola arrays and also for lower-order singular parabola and inflection flow arrays. The infinite-equilibriums in single-variable polynomial systems are also discussed, which are the appearing and switching bifurcations of hybrid arrays of source, sink, and saddle flows with parabola and inflections. This book helps readers understand the global dynamics of planar polynomial systems and the Hilbert sixteen problem.

Multiphase Flow Research

Free Download S. Martin, "Multiphase Flow Research"
English | ISBN: 1606924486 | 2009 | 863 pages | PDF | 24 MB
In fluid mechanics, multiphase flow is a generalisation of the modelling used in two-phase flow to cases where the two phases are not chemically related or where more than two phases are present. Each of the phases is considered to have a separately defined volume fraction , and velocity field. Conservation equations for the flow of each species, can then be written down straightforwardly. The momentum equation for each phase is less straightforward. It can be shown that a common pressure field can be defined, and that each phase is subject to the gradient of this field, weighted by its volume fraction. Transfer of momentum between the phases is sometimes less straightforward to determine, and in addition, a very light phase in bubble form has a virtual mass associated with its acceleration. This new book presents the latest research in the field.

Analysis and Design of Gravity Flow Conduits and Buried Bridges

Free Download Analysis and Design of Gravity Flow Conduits and Buried Bridges
English | 2025 | ISBN: 1498747825 | 348 Pages | EPUB/PDF (True) | 25/26 MB
This book covers the structural analysis and design of buried gravity flow conduits, including traditional pipes, arches, box conduits and buried bridges with spans up to 80 ft (25 m) and greater. The text primarily covers concrete, corrugated metal, and plastic conduits, but is generally applicable to other materials. Applications include culverts, storm drains, sewers, and pedestrian and vehicular crossings.
