Protein Stability and Folding Supplement 1 A Collection of Thermodynamic Data

Free Download Protein Stability and Folding: Supplement 1 A Collection of Thermodynamic Data By Professor Dr. Wolfgang Pfeil (auth.)
2001 | 521 Pages | ISBN: 3662128403 | PDF | 36 MB
In 1998, we published the data compilation PROTEIN STABILITY AND FOLDING which covered the data from the early beginnings of thermodynamic studies of protein folding until 1996. Since then, the amount of available thermodynamic data has increased nearly twice. The data constitute very important additions to the information on the protein folding problem, the construction of mutant protein, and the practical application of proteins in various fields. The Supplement covers the period 1997-1999 and is designed to make the vast amount of present data accessible to multidisciplinary research where chemistry, physics, biology, and medicine are involved and also biotechnology, pharmaceutical and food research. At the same time the data could be helpful to identify problems unsolved so far, and to avoid unnecessary duplication of scientific work. The structure of the Supplement is the same as in the previous data compilation. However, some additional data characterizing protein-denaturant interaction and protein unfolding by trifluoroethanol have been added. In that context, some previous data have been reconsidered. The author wishes to thank everyone who provided data, ideas, or even unpublished results. Furthermore, support by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (INK 16 BI-I) is gratefully acknowledged. Finally, I would like to thank the staff of Springer Verlag for their efforts and for excellent assistance during the production of the data collections.

RNA Folding Methods and Protocols

Free Download RNA Folding: Methods and Protocols By Ivo L. Hofacker, Ronny Lorenz (auth.), Christina Waldsich (eds.)
2014 | 340 Pages | ISBN: 1627036660 | PDF | 8 MB
Focusing on in vitro and intracellular RNA structure formation, RNA Folding: Methods and Protocols provides a comprehensive collection of experimental protocols which are suitable to dissect RNA folding pathways and to characterize the structure of RNA folding intermediates at nucleotide or even atomic resolution. The presented techniques include powerful tools with a long tradition in RNA research as well as more advanced, novel methods, thus the methods span multiple disciplines, including molecular biology, biochemistry, biophysics, and computational biology. Written in the highly successful Methods in Molecular Biology series format, chapters include introductions to their respective topics, lists of the necessary materials and reagents, step-by-step, readily reproducible laboratory protocols, and tips on troubleshooting and avoiding known pitfalls.Practical and authoritative, RNA Folding: Methods and Protocols serves as a vital reference for researchers attempting to gain insights into the secrets of this astounding macromolecule.

Fabrigami the origami art of folding cloth to create decorative and useful objects

Free Download Fabrigami : the origami art of folding cloth to create decorative and useful objects By Jill Stovall, Scott Wasserman Stern, Florence Temko, David G. Cooper
2013 | 85 Pages | ISBN: 1462913423 | EPUB | 9 MB
Fabrigami is the art of folding fabrics to create three-dimensional objects ranging from the practical to the whimsical. Like paper, there are countless beautiful fabric designs to choose from, only fabric has the virtue of being extremely durable. Fabrigami began as origami legend Florence Temko’s final project. Everyone knows that origami is the art of paper folding, but Temko had begun experimenting with folding fabric to make objects that are just as beautiful but more lasting than paper. Sadly, Temko passed away before the book was completed, but her collaborator, Jill Stovall, continued t.
