The Effect ADHD Has On Marriage Fostering A Strong Relationship

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, or ADHD, causes problems with physical activity levels, focusing on family and control of impulses. Even though some people prefer to believe that men and women who are overly active or cannot focus on family have behavioral issues that can be corrected with good discipline, studies show that ADHD is a real condition, possibly with genetic or environmental causes. The Center for Disease Control recognizes ADHD is one of the most common neurobehavioral disorders that are diagnosed in both adults and children. Though many adults often have difficulties sitting still or focusing on tasks, those with ADHD can lead to progressively more serious problems at work and at home. Not all men and women with ADHD have the same degree of physical activity. Some may have a low degree of activity, while others may be highly active. Symptoms include chronic daydreaming, fidgeting, constant motion, inability to listen, inability to sit quietly, problems taking turns, speaking out of turn and difficulty paying attention. Researchers believe ADHD may have a strong genetic component because of their work with twins. Other proposed causes may be exposure to lead, alcohol and tobacco use during pregnancy, low birth weight, premature delivery and brain injury. No research concludes that poverty, family problems, and too much television or consuming large amounts of sugar causes ADHD, though these factors may exacerbate symptoms. These are serious problems that can seriously affect your marriage. If you see any of these symptoms in your spouse or partner you need to pick up a copy of this book : The Effect ADHD Has On Marriage by Terence A. Williams that will help you not only understand your spouse better but alleviate a lot of the stress you are going through.

Only the Ghost Has Lasted Poems

Free Download Nancy Dembowski, "Only the Ghost Has Lasted: Poems"
English | 2000 | pages: 94 | ISBN: 1895837650 | PDF | 1,8 mb
The poems in Nancy Dembowski’s second collection are a series of tender, yet slightly morbid epistles written for the purpose of saying good-bye to a relationship, lifestyle or country. Underscored by a tone of resignation, the poems come alive in flashes of angry revenge bordering on the absurd together with tenderness and joy. Dembowski’s poems, while written in a traditional Canadian story-telling manner, scratch the surface of the underbelly of America’s dysfunction. This is the voice of an immigrant lost and alone somewhere between an urban trailer park in the deep south and a Tory election office in Ontario. Only The Ghost Has Lasted has the colour and texture of a David Lynch film. The dream / nightmare-like scenes are dense and compelling, with image upon image bombarding and forcing the reader along a narrative road with surprising twists and turns. Dembowski’s poems smoothly carry the strength of her haunting performances to the page.

The Darkness Has Not Overcome Lessons on Faith and Politics from Inside the Halls of Power [Audiobook]

English | ASIN: B0CJFX6G8X | 2024 | 5 hours and 3 minutes | M4B@128 kbps | 282 MB
Author: Cliff Sims
Narrator: Cliff Sims

Former special assistant to President Trump, New York Times bestselling author, and evangelical Christian Cliff Sims shares the lessons he learned on faith, politics, and the Christian witness while working in the halls of power. American life today is consumed by politics. Even our churches are tearing themselves apart over political candidates, cultural flashpoints, and debates about whether certain pastors are vessels for the Holy Spirit or an unholy political agenda. So how should Christians approach our lives in this time of strife and division? How should we engage in politics and respond when we find that our beliefs are at odds with the culture? And how do we keep our focus on eternity when the present attractions of the world are there in front of us at every turn? Cliff Sims, the son of a Baptist minister and man of deep Christian faith, has walked the halls of power, serving as a Special Assistant to President Trump and Deputy Director of National Intelligence.

The Yemen Model Why U.S. Policy Has Failed in the Middle East [Audiobook]

Free Download Alexandra Stark, Emily Durante (Narrator), "The Yemen Model: Why U.S. Policy Has Failed in the Middle East"
English | ASIN: B0CZSD29SF | 2024 | MP3@64 kbps | ~08:44:00 | 240 MB
A close look at failed US policies in the Middle East, offering a fresh perspective on how best to reorient goals in the region.
In this book, Alexandra Stark argues that the US approach to Yemen offers insights into the failures of American foreign policy throughout the Middle East. Stark makes the case that despite often being drawn into conflicts within Yemen, the United States has not achieved its policy goals because it has narrowly focused on counterterrorism and regional geopolitical competition rather than on the well-being of Yemenis themselves.
She offers recommendations designed to reorient US policy in the Middle East in pursuit of US national security interests, and to support the people of these countries in their efforts to make their own communities safe, secure, and prosperous.
