Airlife Publishing | 2001 | ISBN: 1840371633 | English | 116 pages | PDF | 120.81 MB
In many ways, the years covered by Martin Bowman’s book were glory years for military fighters. Dozens of innovative, pioneering and downright awesome designs were put into service in air forces around the world. Then too those ‘fast movers’ were painted in colorful, exciting paint schemes, the like of which we will never see again. FAST JET FIGHTERS, 1948-1978 is a marvelous photographic tribute to those long-ago fighter aircraft.

Britain’s Jet Age From the Meteor to the Sea Vixen

Free Download Guy Ellis – Britain’s Jet Age: From the Meteor to the Sea Vixen
Amberley Publishing | 2016 | ISBN: 1445649004 | English | 100 pages | PDF | 70.83 MB
The Jet Age began in Britain in May 1941 when the Gloster E.28/39, the first British jet aircraft, made its first flight. The first British jet fighter was the Gloster Meteor, which entered service with the RAF in 1944 and went on to serve with air forces all over the world, and the RAF never looked back. This was the start of the first generation of British jet aircraft, from the Meteor and the de Havilland Vampire in the years immediately after the Second World War, through the ill-fated Comet airliner and the Hawker Sea Hawk in the 1950s to the Gloster Javelin, the start of the second generation in the 1960s.In this book, aviation historian Guy Ellis looks at the development of this first generation of British jet aircraft.

Jet Fire Due to Gas Leakage Dynamical Theory and Risk Assessment

Free Download Jet Fire Due to Gas Leakage: Dynamical Theory and Risk Assessment
English | 2024 | ISBN: 9819753287 | 138 Pages | PDF EPUB (True) | 31 MB
This book presents a theoretical framework for the quantitative calculation of casualties and damage from jet fires caused by high-pressure gas leaks in pressure vessels or pipelines. The framework incorporates gas leakage models, combustion dynamics models, thermal radiation models, and thermal damage criteria. It conducts sensitivity and uncertainty analyses for the input parameters of the theoretical framework. The robustness of the theoretical framework is verified through field tests. Ultimately, the theoretical framework is used to quantitatively analyze the accidents involving jet fires due to the rupture of natural gas transmission pipelines.

Dual Jet Geometrization for Time-Dependent Hamiltonians and Applications

Free Download Dual Jet Geometrization for Time-Dependent Hamiltonians and Applications (Synthesis Lectures on Mathematics & Statistics) by Mircea Neagu, Alexandru Oană
English | September 1, 2022 | ISBN: 3031088840 | 99 pages | MOBI | 16 Mb
This book studies a category of mathematical objects called Hamiltonians, which are dependent on both time and momenta. The authors address the development of the distinguished geometrization on dual 1-jet spaces for time-dependent Hamiltonians, in contrast with the time-independent variant on cotangent bundles. Two parts are presented to include both geometrical theory and the applicative models: Part One: Time-dependent Hamilton Geometry and Part Two: Applications to Dynamical Systems, Economy and Theoretical Physics. The authors present 1-jet spaces and their duals as appropriate fundamental ambient mathematical spaces used to model classical and quantum field theories. In addition, the authors present dual jet Hamilton geometry as a distinct metrical approach to various interdisciplinary problems.
