Managing International Financial Instability National Tamers versus Global Tigers

Free Download Fabrizio Saccomanni, "Managing International Financial Instability: National Tamers versus Global Tigers"
English | 2008 | pages: 305 | ISBN: 1845421426, 1849800316 | PDF | 1,0 mb
Recurrent instability has characterized the global financial system since the 1980s, eventually leading to the current global financial crisis. This instability and the resultant disruptions – sovereign debt defaults, exchange rate misalignments, financial market illiquidity and asset price bubbles – are linked, in this book, to the shortcomings of the global financial system which tends to generate cycles of boom and bust in credit flows. These cycles are set in motion by the monetary impulses of major industrial countries and are amplified and propagated through the operation of global financial markets. Fabrizio Saccomanni argues that to counter such systemic instability requires that national authorities give adequate weight to financial stability objectives when formulating their monetary and regulatory policies. He maintains that appropriate multilateral strategies to deal with unsustainable trends in credit aggregates and asset prices should be devised in the International Monetary Fund in the context of a strengthened framework to deal with global payments imbalances and exchange rate misalignments.

Managing Contract Manufacturing Relationships A Design Science Approach to Client-Applied Management Practices

Free Download Managing Contract Manufacturing Relationships: A Design Science Approach to Client-Applied Management Practices (Supply Chain Management) by Tim Brandl
English | April 29, 2023 | ISBN: 3658413581 | 240 pages | MOBI | 7.74 Mb
Contract manufacturing has become a cornerstone of global supply chains since the first wave of production outsourcing. Since then, brand-leading companies have focused their supply chains on the end consumer, while contract manufacturers have overtaken brand-leaders in various key areas. As a result, contract manufacturers are becoming strategic partners in the implementation of product designs, which requires dedicated relationship management to enable manufacturing coordination across company boundaries. This book addresses the relationship management of contract manufacturing relationships through the client’s use of management practices. It adopts an eclectic transaction cost economics and relationship velocity perspective. To this end, applied management practices, relationship dynamics, and the targeted selection and adjustment of management practices are examined. The findings indicate the need for systematic alignment of client companies and contract manufacturers at commercial and social relationship levels. Furthermore, relationship dynamics require a regular assessment of the commercial and social fit. The findings contribute to the understanding of contract manufacturing relationships in literature and include recommendations for practical application.
