Trace Inequalities For Matrices and Hilbert Space Operators

Free Download Trace Inequalities: For Matrices and Hilbert Space Operators
English | 2024 | ISBN: 9819765196 | 341 Pages | PDF EPUB (True) | 32 MB
This book is a comprehensive and advanced exploration of trace inequalities in the context of matrices and operators acting on Hilbert spaces. Its goal is to present elegant inequalities with innovative proofs. Instead of presenting generalized versions that can be complicated and lack clarity, the book focuses on beautiful and original inequalities. Divided into eight chapters, this book is designed for researchers and graduate students in mathematics, physics, and engineering. It provides detailed explanations for most of the results and includes a variety of exercises and problems to help readers understand the content and inspire further research into advanced topics.

Partially Specified Matrices and Operators Classification, Completion, Applications

Free Download Partially Specified Matrices and Operators: Classification, Completion, Applications By Israel Gohberg, Marinus A. Kaashoek, Frederik van Schagen (auth.)
1995 | 368 Pages | ISBN: 3034899068 | PDF | 9 MB
This book is devoted to a new direction in linear algebra and operator theory that deals with the invariants of partially specified matrices and operators, and with the spectral analysis of their completions. The theory developed centers around two major problems concerning matrices of which part of the entries are given and the others are unspecified. The first is a classification problem and aims at a simplification of the given part with the help of admissible similarities. The results here may be seen as a far reaching generalization of the Jordan canonical form. The second problem is called the eigenvalue completion problem and asks to describe all possible eigenvalues and their multiplicities of the matrices which one obtains by filling in the unspecified entries. Both problems are also considered in an infinite dimensional operator framework. A large part of the book deals with applications to matrix theory and analysis, namely to stabilization problems in mathematical system theory, to problems of Wiener-Hopf factorization and interpolation for matrix polynomials and rational matrix functions, to the Kronecker structure theory of linear pencils, and to non everywhere defined operators. The eigenvalue completion problem has a natural associated inverse, which appears as a restriction problem. The analysis of these two problems is often simpler when a solution of the corresponding classification problem is available.

Groups, Matrices, and Vector Spaces A Group Theoretic Approach to Linear Algebra

Free Download James B. Carrell, "Groups, Matrices, and Vector Spaces: A Group Theoretic Approach to Linear Algebra "
English | ISBN: 0387794271 | 2017 | 427 pages | EPUB | 25 MB
This unique text provides a geometric approach to group theory and linear algebra, bringing to light the interesting ways in which these subjects interact. Requiring few prerequisites beyond understanding the notion of a proof, the text aims to give students a strong foundation in both geometry and algebra. Starting with preliminaries (relations, elementary combinatorics, and induction), the book then proceeds to the core topics: the elements of the theory of groups and fields (Lagrange’s Theorem, cosets, the complex numbers and the prime fields), matrix theory and matrix groups, determinants, vector spaces, linear mappings, eigentheory and diagonalization, Jordan decomposition and normal form, normal matrices, and quadratic forms. The final two chapters consist of a more intensive look at group theory, emphasizing orbit stabilizer methods, and an introduction to linear algebraic groups, which enriches the notion of a matrix group.

Matrix Model The 7 Matrices of Neuro-Semantics

Free Download L. Michael Hall, "Matrix Model: The 7 Matrices of Neuro-Semantics"
English | 2002 | ISBN: 1890001228 | PDF | pages: 427 | 16.1 mb
Are you ready to wake up to the matrix of frames that you were born into? Are you ready to take charge of your mental-emotional matrices that govern how you see things, how you feel, and your skills? The 7 Matrices Model tells the story of how we all carry with us frames of mind that we map from experiences and ideas. It describes the mental and emotional frames that govern our lives. This book begins where "Frame Games", "Meta-States", and "Secrets of Personal Mastery" end.

Advanced Techniques with Block Matrices of Operators

Free Download Advanced Techniques with Block Matrices of Operators
English | 2024 | ISBN: 3031645456 | 228 Pages | PDF EPUB (True) | 19 MB
This book introduces several powerful techniques and fundamental ideas involving block matrices of operators, as well as matrices with elements in a C*-algebra. These techniques allow for the solution of problems that may be difficult to treat. Specifically, 2×2 operator matrices yield significant mathematical inequalities in various fields of operator theory and matrix analysis. The authors employ block matrices to simplify complicated problems. Operator matrices have garnered attention for their applications in quantum information and computing theories.

Applications of Random Matrices in Physics

Free Download Applications of Random Matrices in Physics by Édouard Brézin, Vladimir Kazakov, Didina Serban, Paul Wiegmann, Anton Zabrodin
English | PDF | 2006 | 518 Pages | ISBN : 1402045298 | 7.1 MB
Random matrices are widely and successfully used in physics for almost 60-70 years, beginning with the works of Dyson and Wigner. Although it is an old subject, it is constantly developing into new areas of physics and mathematics. It constitutes now a part of the general culture of a theoretical physicist. Mathematical methods inspired by random matrix theory become more powerful, sophisticated and enjoy rapidly growing applications in physics. Recent examples include the calculation of universal correlations in the mesoscopic system, new applications in disordered and quantum chaotic systems, in combinatorial and growth models, as well as the recent breakthrough, due to the matrix models, in two dimensional gravity and string theory and the non-abelian gauge theories. The book consists of the lectures of the leading specialists and covers rather systematically many of these topics. It can be useful to the specialists in various subjects using random matrices, from PhD students to confirmed scientists.

Jacobi Matrices and the Moment Problem

Free Download Jacobi Matrices and the Moment Problem
English | 2023 | ISBN: 3031463862 | 487 Pages | PDF EPUB (True) | 41 MB
This monograph presents the solution of the classical moment problem, the construction of Jacobi matrices and corresponding polynomials. The cases of strongly, trigonometric, complex and real two-dimensional moment problems are discussed, and the Jacobi-type matrices corresponding to the trigonometric moment problem are shown. The Berezansky theory of the expansion in generalized eigenvectors for corresponding set of commuting operators plays the key role in the proof of results.
