Free Download Formal Methods for Components and Objects: 10th International Symposium, FMCO 2011, Turin, Italy, October 3-5, 2011, Revised Selected Papers By Martin Wirsing, Matthias Hölzl, Mirco Tribastone, Franco Zambonelli (auth.), Bernhard Beckert, Ferruccio Damiani, Frank S. de Boer, Marcello M. Bonsangue (eds.)
2013 | 356 Pages | ISBN: 3642358861 | PDF | 7 MB
Formal methods have been applied successfully to the verification of medium-sized programs in protocol and hardware design for some time. However, their application to the development of large systems requires more emphasis on specification, modeling, and validation techniques supporting the concepts of reusability and modifiability, and their implementation in new extensions of existing programming languages like Java. This book contains 20 revised papers submitted after the 10th Symposium on Formal Methods for Components and Objects, FMCO 2011, which was held in Turin, Italy, in October 2011. Topics covered include autonomic service-component ensembles; trustworthy eternal systems via evolving software, data, and knowledge; parallel patterns for adaptive heterogeneous multicore systems; programming for future 3D architectures with many cores; formal verification of object oriented software; and an infrastructure for reliable computer systems.

Test Methods for Explosives

Free Download Test Methods for Explosives By Muhamed Sućeska Ph.D. (auth.)
1995 | 225 Pages | ISBN: 1461269040 | PDF | 7 MB
It seems that there is no book that treats the measurement of the physical pa rameters of explosives as its only subject, although limited information is avail able in a number of books. Therefore, I have tried to bridge this gap in the lit erature with this book. A large number of various physical parameters have to be determined ex perimentally in order to test or characterise an explosive. Various physical principles have been applied for such measurements. Accordingly, a large number of different experimental methods exist, as well as various testing appa ratuses and procedures. On the other hand, great progress has been made recently in the study of detonation phenomena. New measuring techniques can assess extremely short processes to below nanoseconds scale. They make it possible to determine im portant parameters in detonation physics. I have made a great attempt to cover the available literature data on the subject. Because it would be a highly demanding task to include in a single volume all the methods that are in use by various testing agencies, I have tried to give primarily the principles for determination of individual physical pa rameters of explosives by different measuring methods as well as data treatment procedures.

1995 | 270 Pages | ISBN: 1489909443 | PDF | 18 MB
are intended to fill the gap between a manufacturer’s handbook, and review articles that highlight the latest scientific developments. A fourth volume will deal with techniques for specimen handling, beam artifacts, and depth profiling. It will provide a compilation of methods that have proven useful for specimen handling and treatment, and it will also address the common artifacts and problems associated with the bombardment of solid sur faces by photons, electrons, and ions. A description will be given of methods for depth profiling. Surface characterization measurements are being used increasingly in di verse areas of science and technology. We hope that this series will be useful in ensuring that these measurements can be made as efficiently and reliably as possible. Comments on the series are welcomed, as are suggestions for volumes on additional topics. C. J. Powell Gaithersburg, Maryland A. W. Czandema Golden, Colorado D. M.
