Nobody but the author would have dared to demand that the Chilean military revolution be given the same status as the French or the Russian Revolutions, for their worldly importance, that it deserves, both in socioeconomic matters, in which it pioneered, and even in human rights aspects. Ironically, communist regimes lasted less in time than the Pinochet and the junta government in Chile.
