Noise-Aware Quantum Circuit Simulation with Decision Diagrams

Free Download Noise-Aware Quantum Circuit Simulation with Decision Diagrams
English | 2025 | ISBN: 3031710355 | 355 Pages | PDF EPUB (True) | 10 MB
This book provides an easy-to-read introduction to quantum computing, as well the classical simulation of quantum circuits with common types of error effects. The authors showcase the enormous potential that can be unleashed when doing these simulations using decision diagrams-a data-structure common in the design automation community, often used in quantum computing design tasks. The algorithms and methods described can outperform previously proposed solutions in some cases, providing a complementary solution to established approaches. Finally, the necessity of noise-aware classical quantum circuit simulation is demonstrated through a practical use-case: the evaluation of quantum error correcting codes.

Machine Learning for Environmental Noise Classification in Smart Cities (Synthesis Lectures on Engineering

Free Download Machine Learning for Environmental Noise Classification in Smart Cities (Synthesis Lectures on Engineering, Science, and Technology) by Ali Othman Albaji
English | March 23, 2024 | ISBN: 3031546660 | 187 pages | MOBI | 38 Mb
We present a Machine Learning (ML) approach to monitoring and classifying noise pollution. Both methods of monitoring and classification have been proven successful. MATLAB and Python code was generated to monitor all types of noise pollution from the collected data, while ML was trained to classify these data. ML algorithms showed promising performance in monitoring the different sound classes such as highways, railways, trains and birds, airports and many more. It is observed that all the data obtained by both methods can be used to control noise pollution levels and for data analytics. They can help decision making and policy making by stakeholders such as municipalities, housing authorities and urban planners in smart cities. The findings indicate that ML can be used effectively in monitoring and measurement. Improvements can be obtained by enhancing the data collection methods. The intention is to develop more ML platforms from which to construct a less noisy. The second objective of this study was to visualize and analyze the data of 18 types of noise pollution that have been collected from 16 different locations in Malaysia. All the collected data were stored in Tableau software. Through the use of both qualitative and quantitative measurements, the data collected for this project was then combined to create a noise map database that can help smart cities make informed decisions.

Guessing Random Additive Noise Decoding A Hardware Perspective

Free Download Guessing Random Additive Noise Decoding: A Hardware Perspective by Syed Mohsin Abbas, Marwan Jalaleddine, Warren J. Gross
English | August 18, 2023 | ISBN: 3031316622 | 165 pages | MOBI | 21 Mb
This book gives a detailed overview of a universal Maximum Likelihood (ML) decoding technique, known as Guessing Random Additive Noise Decoding (GRAND), has been introduced for short-length and high-rate linear block codes. The interest in short channel codes and the corresponding ML decoding algorithms has recently been reignited in both industry and academia due to emergence of applications with strict reliability and ultra-low latency requirements . A few of these applications include Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communication, augmented and virtual Reality, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), the Internet of Things (IoTs), and Ultra-Reliable and Low Latency Communications (URLLC), which is an important use case for the 5G-NR standard.

Above the Noise My Story of Chasing Calm [Audiobook]

Free Download Above the Noise: My Story of Chasing Calm (Audiobook)
English | ASIN: B0CWBRWCVR | 2024 | 6 hours and 48 minutes | M4B@128 kbps | 378 MB
Author: DeMar DeRozan, Dave Zarum
Narrator: Aaron Goodson, John Patrick Walsh

From one of the most outspoken and respected NBA athletes comes a groundbreaking and remarkable memoir chronicling a very public struggle with depression, in the hopes that other people will not suffer alone. "As men, and especially Black men, we don’t talk about our mental health enough. We struggle to admit when things aren’t okay, even when it’s obvious to everybody around us. I’ve seen how toxic that can become. I’ve experienced it myself, keeping everything under wraps until your head and heart are full of fire and rage." DeMar DeRozan, six-time NBA All-Star, has been called a "basketball savant" (ESPN) and "the best closer in the NBA" (GQ)-but when he went public with his depression, it sparked a conversation that reached far beyond the court. By breaking the stigma of speaking out, he added a new, seldom-heard voice to the mental health dialogue: a successful Black male athlete, openly naming his pain and advocating for others to do the same.

The Poetics of Noise from Dada to Punk

Free Download John Melillo, "The Poetics of Noise from Dada to Punk"
English | ISBN: 1501359916 | 2020 | 208 pages | AZW3 | 846 KB
By reinterpreting 20th-century poetry as a listening to and writing through noise, The Poetics of Noise from Dada to Punk constructs a literary history of noise through poetic sound and performance. This book traces how poets figure noise in the disfiguration of poetic voice. Materializing in the threshold between the heard and the unheard, noise emerges in the differentiation and otherness of sound. It arises in the folding of an "outside" into the "inside" of poetic performance both on and off the page. Through a series of case studies ranging from verse by ear-witnesses to the First World War, Dadaist provocations, jazz modernist song and poetry, early New York City punk rock, contemporary sound poetry, and noise music, The Poetics of Noise from Dada to Punk describes productive failures of communication that theorize listening against the grain of sound’s sense.
