Leben ohne Fernsehen Eine qualitative Nichtfernseherstudie

Free Download Leben ohne Fernsehen: Eine qualitative Nichtfernseherstudie By Peter Sicking (auth.)
1998 | 260 Pages | ISBN: 3824443058 | PDF | 11 MB

Classic Grounded Theory Applications With Qualitative and Quantitative Data

Free Download Dr. Judith A. Holton, "Classic Grounded Theory: Applications With Qualitative and Quantitative Data"
English | ISBN: 1483372545 | 2016 | 256 pages | EPUB, PDF | 5 MB + 12 MB
Classic Grounded Theory: Applications With Qualitative and Quantitative Data provides practical "how to" guidance for doing grounded theory (GT) using the classic approach articulated by Barney Glaser. Authors Judith A. Holton and Isabelle Walsh emphasize the philosophical flexibility of classic GT as a "full package" approach that can be applied to any study and any type of data where the goal is to discover and generate a conceptually integrated theory. Drawing on the experiences of novice researchers who have participated in GT troubleshooting seminars, the book provides step-by-step guidance on undertaking a research study that stays true to the classic GT practice paradigm.

An Introduction to Qualitative Research Learning in the Field

Free Download Gretchen B Rossman, "An Introduction to Qualitative Research: Learning in the Field"
English | ISBN: 1506307930 | 2016 | 344 pages | EPUB | 8 MB
The updated Fourth Edition of Gretchen B. Rossman and Sharon F. Rallis’s popular introductory text leads the new researcher into the field by explaining the core concepts through theory, research, and applied examples. Woven into the chapters are three themes that are the heart of the book: first, research is about learning; second, research can and should be useful; and finally, a researcher should practice the highest ethical standards to ensure that a study is trustworthy. The Fourth Edition includes an elaborate discussion of systematic inquiry as well as a nuanced discussion of developing a conceptual framework.

30 Essential Skills for the Qualitative Researcher

Free Download John W. Creswell, "30 Essential Skills for the Qualitative Researcher"
English | ISBN: 154435570X | 2020 | 338 pages | EPUB, PDF | 27 MB + 26 MB
The second edition of 30 Essential Skills for the Qualitative Researcher provides practical, applied information for the novice qualitative researcher, addressing the "how" of conducting qualitative research in one brief guide. Author John W. Creswell and new co-author Johanna Creswell Báez draw on many examples from their own research experiences, sharing them throughout the book. The 30 listed skills are competencies that can help qualitative researchers conduct more thorough, more rigorous, and more efficient qualitative studies. Innovative chapters on thinking like a qualitative research and engaging with the emotional side of doing qualitative research go beyond the topics of a traditional research methods text and offer crucial support for qualitative practitioners. By starting with a strong foundation of a skills-based approach to qualitative research, readers can continue to develop their skills over the course of a career in research.

Phenomenology as Qualitative Research A Critical Analysis of Meaning Attribution

Free Download John Paley, "Phenomenology as Qualitative Research: A Critical Analysis of Meaning Attribution "
English | ISBN: 1138652814 | 2016 | 198 pages | EPUB | 2 MB
Phenomenology originated as a novel way of doing philosophy early in the twentieth century. In the writings of Husserl and Heidegger, regarded as its founders, it was a non-empirical kind of philosophical enquiry. Although this tradition has continued in a variety of forms, ‘phenomenology’ is now also used to denote an empirical form of qualitative research (PQR), especially in health, psychology and education. However, the methods adopted by researchers in these disciplines have never been subject to detailed critical analysis; nor have the methods advocated by methodological writers who are regularly cited in the research literature.

Qualitative Research with Socio-Technical Grounded Theory

Free Download Qualitative Research with Socio-Technical Grounded Theory: A Practical Guide to Qualitative Data Analysis and Theory Development in the Digital World by Rashina Hoda
English | PDF (True) | 2024 | 379 Pages | ISBN : 3031605322 | 25.1 MB
This book is a timely and practical guide to conducting qualitative research with a socio-technical approach. It covers the foundations of research including research design, research philosophy, and literature review; describes qualitative data collection, qualitative data preparation and filtering; explains qualitative data analysis using the techniques of socio-technical grounded theory (STGT); and presents the advanced techniques of qualitative theory development using emergent or structured modes. It provides guidance on evaluating qualitative research application and outcomes; and explores the possible role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in qualitative research in the future.

A Qualitative Approach to Inverse Scattering Theory

Free Download A Qualitative Approach to Inverse Scattering Theory By Fioralba Cakoni, David Colton (auth.)
2014 | 297 Pages | ISBN: 1461488265 | PDF | 3 MB
Inverse scattering theory is an important area of applied mathematics due to its central role in such areas as medical imaging , nondestructive testing and geophysical exploration. Until recently all existing algorithms for solving inverse scattering problems were based on using either a weak scattering assumption or on the use of nonlinear optimization techniques. The limitations of these methods have led in recent years to an alternative approach to the inverse scattering problem which avoids the incorrect model assumptions inherent in the use of weak scattering approximations as well as the strong a priori information needed in order to implement nonlinear optimization techniques. These new methods come under the general title of qualitative methods in inverse scattering theory and seek to determine an approximation to the shape of the scattering object as well as estimates on its material properties without making any weak scattering assumption and using essentially no a priori information on the nature of the scattering object. This book is designed to be an introduction to this new approach in inverse scattering theory focusing on the use of sampling methods and transmission eigenvalues. In order to aid the reader coming from a discipline outside of mathematics we have included background material on functional analysis, Sobolev spaces, the theory of ill posed problems and certain topics in in the theory of entire functions of a complex variable. This book is an updated and expanded version of an earlier book by the authors published by Springer titled Qualitative Methods in Inverse Scattering Theory Review of Qualitative Methods in Inverse Scattering Theory All in all, the authors do exceptionally well in combining such a wide variety of mathematical material and in presenting it in a well-organized and easy-to-follow fashion. This text certainly complements the growing body of work in inverse scattering and should well suit both new researchers to the field as well as those who could benefit from such a nice codified collection of profitable results combined in one bound volume. SIAM Review, 2006
