English | ISBN: 0367723212 | 2022 | 212 pages | EPUB, PDF | 2 MB + 3 MB
Writing and Immanence is a book that is attentive to the unabatingly potent, sometimes agonistic, forces at play in the continuing unfoldings of crises of representation. As immanent doing, the writing in the book writes to destabilise the orthodoxies, conventions and unquestioned givens of writing in the academy and, in so doing, is troubled by the ontogenetic uncertainties of its own writing coming into being.

The Power of Crisis Communication A Qualitative Study of the Establishment of a Scientific Field

Free Download The Power of Crisis Communication: A Qualitative Study of the Establishment of a Scientific Field by Janina Klingelhöfer
English | PDF EPUB (True) | 2023 | 235 Pages | ISBN : 365843418X | 5 MB
Janina Klingelhöfer deconstructs the development of the scientific field of crisis communication through the lens of the sociology of knowledge. To integrate both the social and intellectual dimensions of this scientific field, she unites the theoretical considerations of Bourdieu’s field analysis with the concepts of habitus and capital with a Foucauldian discourse analysis to conduct a comprehensive qualitative historiography. The study reflects on the beginnings of the field and its past developments to answer the main research question: How did the scientific field of crisis communication become what it is today?

Doing Qualitative Research in Politics Integrating Theory Building and Policy Relevance (2024)

Free Download Angela Kachuyevski, Lisa M. Samuel, "Doing Qualitative Research in Politics: Integrating Theory Building and Policy Relevance"
English | 2018 | ISBN: 3319722298, 3030101738 | PDF | pages: 239 | 2.2 mb
This volume offers unique perspectives on how to engage in methods of inquiry in Political Science. Applying the debate in the field over the validity of qualitative methods, the authors illustrate how various methodological approaches are both rigorous and empirically rich. Each of the chapters consists of a particular methodological approach that offers useful insight into pressing political problems important for policy and for theory building. Drawing upon both positivist and interpretive approaches, the chapters illustrate how to engage in qualitative research involving case studies, content analysis and ethnography, each outlining the "doing" part of research. The volume is theoretically, thematically and geographically diverse, important for students and scholars across the field.

Postfoundational Approaches to Qualitative Inquiry

Free Download Lisa A. Mazzei, "Postfoundational Approaches to Qualitative Inquiry"
English | ISBN: 1032287918 | 2023 | 296 pages | EPUB, PDF | 12 MB + 16 MB
Postfoundational Approaches to Qualitative Inquiry is an edited collection that aims to move beyond a critique and deconstruction of method in order to present an engagement with various postfoundational frameworks and approaches that produce new concepts and enactments. What makes this book innovative is the singular focus on postfoundational paradigms, borrowed from the humanities and sciences, that are enveloped in what is referred to as the ontological turn, the new empiricisms, and the new materialisms.

Bonding in Electron-Rich Molecules Qualitative Valence-Bond Approach via Increased-Valence Structures (2024)

Free Download Bonding in Electron-Rich Molecules: Qualitative Valence-Bond Approach via Increased-Valence Structures by Richard D. Harcourt
English | PDF (True) | 2016 | 328 Pages | ISBN : 3319166751 | 11.7 MB
This second edition was updated to include some of the recent developments, such as "increased-valence" structures for 3-electron-3-centre bonding, benzene, electron conduction and reaction mechanisms, spiral chain O4 polymers and recoupled-pair bonding. The author provides qualitative molecular orbital and valence-bond descriptions of the electronic structures for primarily electron-rich molecules, with strong emphasis given to the valence-bond approach that uses "increased-valence" structures. He describes how "long-bond" Lewis structures as well as standard Lewis structures are incorporated into "increased-valence" structures for electron-rich molecules. "Increased-valence" structures involve more electrons in bonding than do their component Lewis structures, and are used to provide interpretations for molecular electronic structure, bond properties and reactivities. Attention is also given to Pauling "3-electron bonds", which are usually diatomic components of "increased-valence" structures for electron-rich molecules.

Qualitative Researcher Vulnerability Negotiating, Experiencing and Embracing

Free Download Qualitative Researcher Vulnerability: Negotiating, Experiencing and Embracing
English | 2023 | ISBN: 1032393335 | 262 Pages | EPUB | 4 MB
Qualitative Researcher Vulnerability provides conceptual, experiential, and practical insights into the vulnerability of the qualitative researcher. Compared to participants’ vulnerability, researcher vulnerability has seen limited attention in the qualitative research process, but yet it is an important consideration.

Partial Differential Equations Qualitative Studies of Linear Equations, 3rd Edition

Free Download Partial Differential Equations: Qualitative Studies of Linear Equations
English | 2023 | ISBN: 3031336992 | 706 Pages | PDF (True) | 7 MB
This second in the series of three volumes builds upon the basic theory of linear PDE given in volume 1, and pursues more advanced topics. Analytical tools introduced here include pseudodifferential operators, the functional analysis of self-adjoint operators, and Wiener measure. The book also develops basic differential geometrical concepts, centered about curvature. Topics covered include spectral theory of elliptic differential operators, the theory of scattering of waves by obstacles, index theory for Dirac operators, and Brownian motion and diffusion. The book is targeted at graduate students in mathematics and at professional mathematicians with an interest in partial differential equations, mathematical physics, differential geometry, harmonic analysis, and complex analysis.
