The Kings Royal Rifle Corps, or the 2nd Battalion the Royal Green Jackets as they are now known, had a long and proud fighting tradition that they would exchange with no other regiment in the British Army. Originally raised from American colonists in 1756, their skill in fighting the French and their native American allies in the woods in the north of the nascent America was legendary; the regiment was honoured for its distinguished service with the motto "Swift and Bold" by no less a figure as General Wolfe in the Quebec campaign.

So Few The Immortal Record of The Royal Air Force

Free Download David Masters, ""So Few": The Immortal Record of The Royal Air Force"
English | 2016 | ASIN: B01MG54NZE | EPUB | pages: 430 | 3.5 mb
Originally published in 1941, this book is author David Masters’ historical account of the Royal Air Force’s feats and accomplishments during the Second World War: "I count it a privilege to write with firsthand knowledge of these flying crusaders who are fighting a holy war to preserve Christendom and the lives and liberties of earth-bound mortals. They are the flower of Great Britain and the British Empire, selected in the most scientific manner for the posts of honour which they have covered with so much glory. None but the best will do, and those who achieve their desire of becoming pilots and navigators and gunners and wireless operators in the Royal Air Force are in fact the finest specimens of young manhood who walk the earth, young men whose physical fitness, nervous control, mental alertness and swift muscular reactions make them fit to command and man the giant bombers and handle the darting fighters; they are the knights of the air whose prowess and sacrifice will conjure a new and nobler order out of the ruins created by Hitler and Mussolini. No trouble has been spared to ensure the accuracy of these pages which reflect the glory of the Royal Air Force. It may be taken that they are as authentic as any pages of official history."

Sky Space is a Tantra of the Great Perfection, the Dzogchen or Atiyoga. It was translated into Tibetan in the Eighth Century of our era in India, and has been well cared for in Tibet for well over a thousand years. In it we are presented with the timeless teachings of Vajrasattva on the essence of our own minds. This scripture is a transmission called the Vajra Bridge (Dorje Zampa). In the division of Tantras that includes the Mind Section, the Space Section, and the Upadeśa Instruction Section, Sky Space is a Root Tantra of the Space Section. It is here translated into a modern language for the first time. This translation was completed during the time of the coronavirus epidemic, while under lockdown. It does say in Sky Space that its contents are intended for those who live during the last five hundred years of the teachings. It strikes me as significant that this translation is coming out now.

It was a world that included kidnap, poison, murder, violation, public shaming and accusations of witchcraft. Ambition and quick wits as well as beauty were essential attributes for any royal mistress. Infamy, assassination and imprisonment awaited some royal mistresses who tumbled from favour while others disappeared into obscurity or respectable lives as married women and were quickly forgotten.
