Digital Signature Schemes General Framework and Fail-Stop Signatures

Free Download Digital Signature Schemes: General Framework and Fail-Stop Signatures By Birgit Pfitzmann (auth.)
1996 | 404 Pages | ISBN: 3540615172 | PDF | 6 MB
This book, based on the author’s Ph.D. thesis, was selected during the 1995 GI Doctoral Dissertation Competition as the winning thesis in the foundations-of-informatics track.Securing integrity for digital communications in the age of global electronic information exchange and electronic commerce is vital to democratic societies and a central technical challenge for cryptologists. As core contribution to advancing the state of the art, the author develops the new class of digital fail-stop signatures. This monograph is self-contained regarding the historical background and cryptographic primitives used. For the first time, a general and sophisticated framework is introduced in which innovative fail-stop signatures are systematically presented and evaluated, from theoretical foundations to engineering aspects.

Configuration Spaces over Hilbert Schemes and Applications

Free Download Configuration Spaces over Hilbert Schemes and Applications By Danielle Dias, Patrick Le Barz (auth.)
1996 | 144 Pages | ISBN: 3540620508 | PDF | 2 MB
The main themes of this book are to establish the triple formula without any hypotheses on the genericity of the morphism, and to develop a theory of complete quadruple points, which is a first step towards proving the quadruple point formula under less restrictive hypotheses. This book should be of interest to graduate students and researchers in the field of algebraic geometry. The reader is expected to have some basic knowledge of enumerative algebraic geometry and pointwise Hilbert schemes.

Inclusive Pension Schemes for Social Security and Development

Free Download INCLUSIVE PENSION SCHEMES FOR SOCIAL SECURITY AND DEVELOPMENT: Closing the Fiscal Gaps that Leave the Informal Sector Behind by Uwem Essia
English | January 31, 2024 | ISBN: N/A | ASIN: B0CTSHB33C | 184 pages | EPUB | 1.63 Mb
"Inclusive Pension Schemes for Social Security and Development" offers an insightful exploration into the complexities of extending pension coverage to the informal sector across diverse regions, including Africa and ASEAN countries. The book addresses the challenges posed by aging populations, technological advances, and the need for financial inclusion, presenting innovative strategies for achieving universal pension coverage. A well-designed and administered universal pension scheme can be a more productive fiscal tool than taxes for mopping up resources for social security and self-sustaining development, underscoring the importance of tailored solutions, stakeholder engagement, trust building, and effective policy implementation. This comprehensive guide is book 9 of the Series, Public Finance, Fiscal Policy and Tax Management.

New Metaheuristic Schemes Mechanisms and Applications (Intelligent Systems Reference Library, 246)

Free Download New Metaheuristic Schemes: Mechanisms and Applications (Intelligent Systems Reference Library, 246) by Erik Cuevas, Daniel Zaldívar, Marco Pérez-Cisneros
English | November 7, 2023 | ISBN: 3031455606 | 282 pages | MOBI | 30 Mb
Recently, novel metaheuristic techniques have emerged in response to the limitations of conventional approaches, leading to enhanced outcomes. These new methods introduce interesting mechanisms and innovative collaborative strategies that facilitate the efficient exploration and exploitation of extensive search spaces characterized by numerous dimensions. The objective of this book is to present advancements that discuss novel alternative metaheuristic developments that have demonstrated their effectiveness in tackling various complex problems. This book encompasses a variety of emerging metaheuristic methods and their practical applications. The content is presented from a teaching perspective, making it particularly suitable for undergraduate and postgraduate students in fields such as science, electrical engineering, and computational mathematics. The book aligns well with courses in artificial intelligence, electrical engineering, and evolutionary computation. Furthermore, the material offers valuable insights to researchers within the metaheuristic and engineering communities. Similarly, engineering practitioners unfamiliar with metaheuristic computation concepts will recognize the pragmatic value of the discussed techniques. These methods transcend mere theoretical tools that have been adapted to effectively address the significant real-world problems commonly encountered in engineering domains.

Nonstandard Finite Difference Schemes Methodology and Applications

Free Download Nonstandard Finite Difference Schemes: Methodology and Applications by Ronald E Mickens
English | November 20, 2020 | ISBN: 9811222533 | 332 pages | MOBI | 9.01 Mb
This second edition of Nonstandard Finite Difference Models of Differential Equations provides an update on the progress made in both the theory and application of the NSFD methodology during the past two and a half decades. In addition to discussing details related to the determination of the denominator functions and the nonlocal discrete representations of functions of dependent variables, we include many examples illustrating just how this should be done.Of real value to the reader is the inclusion of a chapter listing many exact difference schemes, and a chapter giving NSFD schemes from the research literature. The book emphasizes the critical roles played by the ‘principle of dynamic consistency’ and the use of sub-equations for the construction of valid NSFD discretizations of differential equations.

Reference, Truth and Conceptual Schemes A Defense of Internal Realism

Free Download Reference, Truth and Conceptual Schemes: A Defense of Internal Realism By Gábor Forrai (auth.)
2001 | 163 Pages | ISBN: 9048156777 | PDF | 6 MB
1. HISTORICAL BACKGROUND The purpose of the book is to develop internal realism, the metaphysical-episte mological doctrine initiated by Hilary Putnam (Reason, Truth and History, "Introduction", Many Faces). In doing so I shall rely – sometimes quite heavily – on the notion of conceptual scheme. I shall use the notion in a somewhat idiosyncratic way, which, however, has some affinities with the ways the notion has been used during its history. So I shall start by sketching the history of the notion. This will provide some background, and it will also give opportunity to raise some of the most important problems I will have to solve in the later chapters. The story starts with Kant. Kant thought that the world as we know it, the world of tables, chairs and hippopotami, is constituted in part by the human mind. His cen tral argument relied on an analysis of space and time, and presupposed his famous doctrine that knowledge cannot extend beyond all possible experience. It is a central property of experience – he claimed – that it is structured spatially and temporally. However, for various reasons, space and time cannot be features of the world, as it is independently of our experience. So he concluded that they must be the forms of human sensibility, i. e. necessary ingredients of the way things appear to our senses.

English | April 11, 2022 | ISBN: 981124832X | 216 pages | MOBI | 3.44 Mb
Secret sharing schemes form one of the most important topic in Cryptography. These protocols are used in many areas, applied mathematics, computer science, electrical engineering. A secret is divided into several pieces called shares. Each share is given to a user of the system. Each user has no information about the secret, but the secret can be retrieved by certain authorized coalition of users.
