Euphorias in Gender, Sex and Sexuality Variations Positive Experiences

Free Download Tiffany Jones, "Euphorias in Gender, Sex and Sexuality Variations: Positive Experiences"
English | ISBN: 3031237552 | 2023 | 217 pages | PDF | 6 MB
This Open Access book uses the concept of ‘euphoria’ to investigate when, why and how marginal gender, sex and sexuality groups have positive experiences of their diverse variations even within repressive and disordering contexts. Drawing on data from multiple online surveys including a study of 2,407 LGBTQ+ people and a study of 272 people with intersex variations, it names and offers a new ecological framework for understanding participants’ influences on and barriers to euphorias, asserting the subversive possibilities of being euphorically queer, as opposed to euphoric and queer. The author argues that it is the particularities of negative internal, socio-cultural and institutional contexts for a marginal group or groups that contributes towards the possibilities that shape their potential euphoric feelings and experiences. Ultimately, she calls for a more expansive focus in gender and sexuality studies to show the complex effects of dysphoria and repression on the possibilities of pleasure and joy.

Doris Day confidential Hollywood, sex and stardom

Free Download Doris Day confidential : Hollywood, sex and stardom By Day, Doris; Day, Doris; McDonald, Tamar Jeffers
2013 | 262 Pages | ISBN: 1848855826 | PDF | 28 MB
Doris Day was a major star during the 1950s and ’60s. Today, forty years after her last film, the star (who was ninety in April 2012) is often still invoked as shorthand for a kind of sexuality now felt outmoded, being typecast as ‘the forty year old virgin’. Close attention to the facts of Day’s own life (three times married) challenges this assumption and the majority of her film roles also prove otherwise, with Day most frequently portraying a woman of maturely sexual desires. How did such pejorative labeling arise, and why has it stuck so tenaciously to Day, even now? This book addresses these questions through closely examining Day’s characters and performances across her thirty-eight films and her TV work, as well as material from other popular media for the source of the virgin myth. It then focuses on contemporary popular culture contexts, using newspaper stories, articles from film, fan and lifestyle magazines, reviews and gossip to chart the developments in Day’s screen ‘persona’ are charted, highlighting the changes in public perception of the star of Calamity Jane, Love Me Or Leave Me and Pillow Talk as aided and abetted by the media.

When it comes to relationships, our society has plenty of expectations. We’re supposed to know how to speak up for ourselves in bed, be caring partners, and, of course, love ourselves first. But no one tells us how to actually do all those things, and we are left feeling unsatisfied, confused, and ashamed when we don’t measure up. Former Deputy District Attorney Rena Martine was in that position. After rejecting the ideal white-picket fence life, she embarked on a journey to redefine intimacy in a way that felt true. In the years that followed, Rena defied all of society’s sexual norms, built a presence as a global women’s intimacy coach, and created the intimate life she craved.
Now she brings those experiences to you! With no-holds-barred honesty, stories from real-life women, and sparkling humor, The Sex You Want will help you: build a secure relationship with your most important partner-yourself; get in touch with your expectations for relationships so you can date more intentionally; demystify lifestyle practices outside of the heterosexual-monogamous-vanilla box with frank discussions of female sexual fluidity, kink, and ethical non-monogamy; find apps, products, and communities to satisfy any curiosity; and bring deep intimacy and exciting variety into your bedroom and beyond.

English | ASIN: B0CW3CXT6X | 2024 | MP3@64 kbps | ~08:26:00 | 239 MB
Bronislaw Malinowski’s seminal work, "Sex and Repression in Savage Society," delves into the intricate dynamics of sexuality and societal control within primitive cultures. Published in 1927, this ethnographic study challenges prevailing Victorian notions of sexuality and sheds light on the nuanced ways in which indigenous societies navigate and regulate sexual behaviors. Malinowski’s immersive fieldwork in the Trobriand Islands enables him to provide a rich anthropological account, exploring the role of rituals, customs, and taboos in shaping sexual practices. By examining the interplay between individual desires and communal norms, the author contributes to a deeper understanding of the complex relationship between sex and repression in societies that existed outside the purview of Western moral frameworks. Malinowski’s groundbreaking insights continue to influence the fields of anthropology and cultural studies, prompting ongoing discussions about the universality of sexual behaviors and the impact of cultural context on human expression.

Is it wrong for a man to buy sex from a woman? In this book, Holly Lawford-Smith argues that it is wrong: commercial sex is quintessentially hierarchical sex, and it is wrong both to have, and to perpetuate a market in, hierarchical sex. Angie Pepper argues that it isn’t wrong: men are permitted to buy sex from those women who freely choose to sell it.
