The Physics of Thin Film Optical Spectra An Introduction (3rd Edition)

Free Download The Physics of Thin Film Optical Spectra: An Introduction
English | 2024 | ISBN: 3031650298 | 466 Pages | PDF EPUB (True) | 68 MB
This book serves as a comprehensive guide to the physics of thin-film optical spectra, bridging the gap between fundamental physics courses, such as optics, electrodynamics, quantum mechanics, and solid-state physics, and the highly specialized literature on the spectroscopy, design, and application of optical thin film coatings. It presumes a basic understanding from these courses and builds upon it.

Infrared Spectra of Rubbers, Plastics and Thermoplastic Elastomers

Free Download Yvonne Davies, Jason Davies, Martin J. Forrest, "Infrared Spectra of Rubbers, Plastics and Thermoplastic Elastomers"
English | 2019 | ISBN:3110644088 | ASIN: B082GTT3TR | PDF | pages: 445 | 116.6 mb
This handbook collects over 800 infrared spectra of rubbers, plastics and thermoplastics elastometers. It contains five different libraries: rubbers in transmission spectroscopy, rubbers in pyrolysate spectroscopy, plastics in transmission spectroscopy, plastics in pyrolysate spectroscopy, and rubbers and plastics in single-bounce ATR spectroscopy. This is an invaluable reference for the rubbers and plastics industry.

Spectra for the Identification of Additives in Food Packaging

Free Download Spectra for the Identification of Additives in Food Packaging By Ben van Lierop, Laurence Castle, Alexandre Feigenbaum, Achim Boenke (auth.)
1998 | 525 Pages | ISBN: 9401061998 | PDF | 9 MB
This new book on additives used in plastics for food contact, can be seen as a companion to the 1993 publication Spectra for the Identification of Monomers in Food Packaging [1, 2]. That earlier book presented information on monomeric substances listed in Directive 901128/EEC [3], which restricts the range of monomers and other starting substances that can be used for the production of plastics materials and articles intended for food contact applications. As a logical supplement to the collection of monomers and other starting substances, the preparation of a reference collection and a Handbook of analytical data of additives was undertaken with funding from The European Commission under the Standards Measurements and Testing programme. We then give a collection of spectra for the identification of 100 of the most important additives used in plastics packaging and coatings. Infra-red (FT-IR) and mass spectra (MS) are presented, as in the monomers book, but we have extended the scope to include proton nuclear magnetic resonance eH-NMR) spectra and gas-chromatographic (GC) data. Legal Framework The Commission of the European Communities provides in Synoptic Document N. 7 [4] a provisional list of additives used for the production of food contact plastics. This Synoptic Document anticipates a Directive on additives for food contact plastics. One hundred of the most important additives were selected from this provisional list after extensive consultation with researchers in the field and with representatives from European industry (Food Contact Additives Panel (FCA) sector group of the European Chemical Industry Council (CEFIC).

Graph Spectra for Complex Networks (2nd Edition)

Free Download Graph Spectra for Complex Networks
English | 2023 | ISBN: 1009366807 | 536 Pages | PDF | 10 MB
This concise and self-contained introduction builds up the spectral theory of graphs from scratch, with linear algebra and the theory of polynomials developed in the later parts. The book focuses on properties and bounds for the eigenvalues of the adjacency, Laplacian and effective resistance matrices of a graph. The goal of the book is to collect spectral properties that may help to understand the behavior or main characteristics of real-world networks. The chapter on spectra of complex networks illustrates how the theory may be applied to deduce insights into real-world networks. The second edition contains new chapters on topics in linear algebra and on the effective resistance matrix, and treats the pseudoinverse of the Laplacian. The latter two matrices and the Laplacian describe linear processes, such as the flow of current, on a graph. The concepts of spectral sparsification and graph neural networks are included.
