Free Download Analysis and Synthesis of Singular Systems with Time-Delays By Zheng-Guang Wu, Hongye Su, Peng Shi, Jian Chu (auth.)
2013 | 231 Pages | ISBN: 3642374964 | PDF | 3 MB
Singular time-delay systems are very suitable to describe a lot of practical systems such as manufacturing systems, networked control systems, power systems and electrical circuits. Thus, the past two decades have witnessed a significant progress on the theory of singular time-delay systems, and many fundamental and important topics have been successfully investigated including stability analysis, stabilization, guaranteed cost control, filtering, observer design, sliding mode control and so on. The main objective of this book is to present the latest developments and references in the analysis and synthesis of singular time-delay systems with or without Markov jumping parameters in a unified framework. The materials adopted in this book are mainly based on research results of the authors. This book will be of interest to academic researchers working in singular systems, time-delay systems and Markov jump systems and to graduate students interested in systems and control theory.

Traditions of Analysis and Synthesis

Free Download Traditions of Analysis and Synthesis
English | 2025 | ISBN: 3031763971 | 409 Pages | PDF EPUB (True) | 19 MB
This open access book provides a fresh perspective on analysis and synthesis across several areas of inquiry. The two operations form a primary basis of modern laboratory science, ranging from the spectrographic analysis used in practically every scientific discipline today, to the naming of entire disciplines, such as synthetic organic chemistry. Despite their acknowledged significance, however, the history of analysis, synthesis, and their relations over the longue durée is poorly understood. Several volumes have been devoted to the history of analysis and synthesis in the sense that premodern mathematicians and philosophers used the terms, but very little work has been done on the tradition of material decomposition and recomposition and its relationship to mathematics and philosophy. The present volume brings together scholars in the history of medicine, mathematics, philosophy, chemistry, and alchemy to explore the ways in which these multiple disciplines understood and used analysis and synthesis as experimental, justificatory, and conceptual tools.

Lipasee Functions, Synthesis and Role in Disease

Free Download Hamdi Sassi, "Lipasee: Functions, Synthesis and Role in Disease "
English | ISBN: 1620813661 | 2012 | 223 pages | PDF | 4 MB
Lipases are ubiquitous enzymes which catalyze the hydrolysis of triacylglycerols to glycerols and free fatty acids. Due to their characteristics of enantioselectivity and regioselectivity and stability in organic solvents, they have gained importance in industrial applications. In this book, the authors examine the functions, synthesis and role in disease of lipases. Topics discussed include the action of lipases as a biotechnological tool; fungal lipases in biocatalysis; secreted phospholipase A2 inhibitors from cynara cardunculus L. and aloe vera extract as a potential therapeutic drug for inflammatory diseases; lipoprotein lipase activity in sickle cell nephropathy; lipases in the pharmaceutical industry; and yeast cell surface display of lipases.
