Clinical Atlas of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound in Rheumatology (PDF)

Free Download Janeth Yinh, "Clinical Atlas of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound in Rheumatology"
English | ISBN: 3031638816 | 2024 | 487 pages | PDF | 144 MB
This atlas provides high quality ultrasound images of musculoskeletal, mechanical, autoimmune, and inflammatory disorders encountered in rheumatology and other musculoskeletal clinic practices. Standard scanning conventions of joint regions with pertinent high-quality anatomic illustrations are used to facilitate understanding of sonographic images. Useful scanning pearls and pitfalls encountered in daily clinical practice are highlighted in each chapter. The atlas summarizes the role of ultrasonography in various rheumatologic conditions, identification of elemental sonographic lesions, classic examples of sonography in various classification criteria and grading systems for the diagnosis and management of selected rheumatic conditions. Expert authors provide case-based presentations of sonographic pathology. Supplementary video clips demonstrating common ultrasound-guided procedures performed in rheumatology, as well as dynamic ultrasonography are included. This is an ideal guide for rheumatologists and musculoskeletal providers incorporating ultrasound into their clinical practice.

Vascular Ultrasound

Free Download Vascular Ultrasound: B-Mode, Color Doppler and Duplex Ultrasound, Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasound
English | 2023 | ISBN: 3132405434 | 557 Pages | EPUB (True) | 108 MB
The indications for vascular color duplex sonography (CDS) have expanded in recent years due to the availability of power Doppler, B-flow, ultrasound contrast agents, 3D reconstruction techniques, and fusion with other imaging modalities. CDS enables close-interval follow-ups after interventional procedures with improved prognoses. Edited by Reinhard Kubale, Hubert Stiegler, and Hans-Peter Weskott, Vascular Ultrasound: B-Mode, Color Doppler and Duplex Ultrasound, Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasound starts with the basic principles of diagnostic ultrasound physics and technology, followed by invaluable tips on equipment settings, possible artifacts, and limitations; hemodynamic essentials; and the use of ultrasound contrast agents. Subsequent chapters organized by anatomic region provide coverage of all peripheral and abdominal arterial and venous vascular regions; microcirculation and tumor perfusion; kidney and liver diseases; vascular malformations; non-atherosclerotic vascular diseases; the use of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) in biliary, intestinal, splenic, and pediatric diseases; and novel/future techniques.

Ultrasound-Assisted Liposuction Current Concepts and Techniques

Free Download Onelio Garcia Jr., "Ultrasound-Assisted Liposuction: Current Concepts and Techniques"
English | 2019 | pages: 224 | ISBN: 3030268748, 3030268772 | PDF | 16,9 mb
Liposuction is currently the number one aesthetic surgical procedure performed by plastic surgeons in the United States and Americans spend more money on liposuction than on any other aesthetic surgical procedure. Almost 500,000 cases are currently performed yearly by board certified plastic surgeons and it is estimated that at least 20% of the cases are ultrasound assisted. Current ultrasonic liposuction devices are significantly different than the previous generations and require a certain level of technical expertise in order to achieve good outcomes with the technique. Although there are chapters devoted to the technique in general body contouring textbooks, there are no current textbooks that fully cover this important technique.

English | 2024 | ISBN: 3031618866 | 510 Pages | PDF EPUB (True) | 133 MB
Central venous catheter (CVC) placement is the most frequently performed invasive procedure in pediatric and adult patients. The indications for a CVC include hemodynamic monitoring, administration of parenteral solutions, antibiotics, and parenteral nutrition, among others. The internal jugular, subclavian, and femoral veins are the most frequently used sites.

Over the last decade, ultrasound mid-air haptic technology has emerged and rapidly advanced to engage multidisciplinary scientific communities within and adjacent to the haptics and HCI fields. Additionally, this haptic technology has been adopted by a number of industry sectors (e.g., automotive, virtual reality, digital signage, neuroscience research) who appear keen to exploit its unique value proposition: the ability to deliver rich haptic sensations from a distance, without the need to touch, wear or hold anything in order to enhance touchless interfaces, novel applications, and experiences.
