Organizational information systems paradigm suggests that a right match between organizational characteristics and the use of technology is critical in producing desired results. Following such perspective this study focused on the relationship between task characteristics and the use of mobile office systems with an intention to find out factors that affect the adoption of modern mobile office systems. The research results show that in performing tasks with high mobility users tend to use extensive mobile office functions. When the task has a high level of interdependency with external business partners, users relied on specialized mobile functions such as FFA, SFA and ERP. Highly volatile environment with many unexpected task changes caused an extensive use of task specific functions that help to solve problems at hand. Further, analyses of the differences of mobile office use by department showed that sales department used more communication functions than others, while administrative departments rely more on such task specific functions as mobile CRM and KM than others. English | September 15, 2020 | ISBN: N/A | ASIN: B08CS2LVT3 | 166 pages | EPUB | 6.16 Mb
This book contains actionable strategies to improve teamwork and collaboration between team members. The intention was to keep it easy to read, sharing different ways you can improve individual productivity and collaboration between team members. As enterprise thought leaders, each of us has KPIs that we track for our organization and that we are always looking to improve. One of the KPIs is productivity, and based on my experience of 22 years in the IT industry I have observed that there are two areas in general that software productivity tool sets can be utilized to improve; first area is personal productivity and second is teamwork & collaboration. This is also how I have chosen to organize the sections of this book. The first section will be focused on communicating the concepts and tools for how you work on your own improvement, otherwise known as personal productivity. The second section will focus on teamwork & collaboration. The third and final section is called "Putting is all together" will focus on what other thought leaders found was important to them when thinking about the teamwork and collaboration environment. My suggestion is that you go through the concepts sequentially, however, each chapter is sufficiently self-contained so that you can go directly to the area you are most interested in first. Personal Productivity – Managing Your Day – Working Remotely – Task Management – Project Setup Teamwork & collaboration – Collaboration – Team Projects – Project Tracking Putting it all together – System Adoption – Unified Way of Doing Things – Employee Training – Microsoft Tools for Teamwork – Make Weekly Project Meeting a Snap with SNAP

Earth’s seas play a tremendous role in the planet’s systems: Ocean currents transfer water and heat around the globe, and ocean ecosystems are among the most biologically productive anywhere. But the oceans are being abused. Wild fisheries are harvested to the point of collapse, and some aquaculture damages life and the environment. People intentionally or inadvertently dump wastes sewage, oil, toxic chemicals, detergents, fertilizers, and invasive species and all have an impact on ocean ecosystems. Offering full-color photographs and illustrations and captivating text, Oceans introduces young science students to these urgent issues. This important new work shows how protecting the oceans requires protecting the entire planet, and describes the importance of setting aside marine reserves to save vital ecosystems.
